Abbie Robinson
CPDT-KA, FDM, FFCP 

Abbie began teaching classes at Barks and Rec. in 2023 after several years of being a student herself. She is especially passionate about helping dogs and their people gain confidence and improve their relationships through fun, reward-based training. 

 

Abbie is a Certified Professional Dog trainer - Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT), a certified Family Dog Mediator (FDM), a Fear Free Animal Trainer (Fear Free Certified Professional - FFCP), and an AKC CGC® Approved Evaluator. She is a graduate of the Aggression in Dogs Master Course and is a member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC). She enjoys continuing education and has completed additional coursework through the Fenzi Dog Sports Academy and Karen Pryor Academy (KPA).​

 

Abbie is also a strong advocate for animal welfare and is a graduate of the Fear Free Shelters Program. She regularly volunteers at Cherryland Humane Society and has fostered over 20 dogs and puppies for local rescue organizations.

In her spare time, Abbie enjoys camping and hiking with her three dogs and actively trains and competes in a variety of dog sports including scent work, dock diving, agility, rally, frisbee, and trick training.
